Todd May epitomizes integrity, energy, hard work and creative service in every detail of your real estate transaction.  Todd grew up in the Burlington area, has over 28+ years of experience in real estate, and is a successful business owner.  He purchased his first investment property during his sophomore year at Elon University where he played golf and earned a degree in business administration in 1994.  Since that first purchase Todd and his wife J.J. have continued to invest in real estate property and pride themselves in treating tenants like family.  His experience and contacts in the industry are vast and includes purchasing, renovating, managing and selling both residential and commercial real estate.  He and his wife formed May Realty Group, LLC in 2015.

Leveraging his experience as a successful business owner, he is known for outstanding client service, 24/7 availability, personal knowledge, and is a skilled negotiator always keeping his client’s best interests at heart.  He strongly believes it is not only his duty to educate his clients to the best of his ability, but to also educate them throughout the entire process armed with top notch information, enabling his clients to make the most informed decisions. He is honest, sometimes telling clients things they might not want to hear, hard working and extremely knowledgeable, having immense personal knowledge and experience in in the real estate industry.

Todd enjoys spending time with his wife of 26 years, J.J. and with his two children, Jack and Yates. Todd is a natural athlete and enjoys playing tennis and golf.  He also enjoys spending time as a coach and giving back to the community through coaching and sponsoring his son’s baseball, basketball and soccer teams over the years. 

J.J. May graduated magna cum laude from Elon University in 1993 where she majored in corporate communications and minored in business administration and English.  She has spent 27+ years in the reinsurance industry where she has dedicated her impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills in monitoring all aspects of client servicing.  She also has vast experience in event planning and home staging.

J.J. along with her husband Todd began buying personal investment property in the early 1990’s providing homes for many families in the community through the years.  Together they formed May Realty Group, LLC in 2015.  Treating tenants and clients like family has always been a guiding principle to her and her husband.  Her mission for May Realty Group is to always provide best in servicing to May Realty Group’s buyers and sellers thus providing efficiency and stress-free transactions.  J.J. understands that buying and selling can be stressful and is one of the biggest decisions in a client’s life.

J.J. is very active and connected in the community where she has lived her entire life, graduating from Western Alamance High School and later Elon University.  She was PTA President at A.O. Elementary School while her daughter was as a student and served as Secretary of Western Alamance High School’s Athletic Booster Club.

J.J. is well known for her outstanding customer service, consistent communication, strong attention to detail and ensuring a positive experience for all parties involved in a transaction.  Her skills have proven that her dedication to clients in providing service and expertise make each transaction as seamless and successful, as possible.

J.J. enjoys spending time with her husband of 26 years, Todd, two children, Jack and Yates and their two dachshunds Emmi and Greer.

Yates May joined the May Realty Team in the summer of 2020 as a REALTOR/Broker.  She graduated from Western Alamance High School and is currently enrolled at Elon University.  Yates is double majoring in Strategic Communications and Journalism, and minoring in Business Administration.  She was selected by Elon as a Legal Professions Scholar.  This was quite an achievement and honor as she was only one of fifteen to receive this appointment.  She is a member of Elon's Real Estate Club and is a cheerleader for the Phoenix.

In addition to cheer, Yates has a passion for dance.  She danced competitively for years and loved performing.  Yates also enjoys gymnastics and spending time with friends.
